Here are cool sites, services, or news items that I recommend
Logo from the Teach Me Peace website
Teach Me Peace
My new friend, Valarie, from Twitter runs TeachMePeace.org. They are hosting a conference “Dialogues On Peace” in Washington DC on March 28 and 29, 2009. Check the website out for other related events.
Teach Me Peace offers grants to individuals or organizations to facilitate projects that build stories of peace. Grant requests are reviewed January 1st and June 1st. Funding amounts vary based on resources available but are generally $100 to $1000.
Spranq Eco Font Uses 20% Less Ink
I love this font because the more people who use it make our world more sustainable. It has tiny holes in the letters which uses twenty percent less ink! I use this font when I give handouts at conferences and I’ll be asking my publisher (when I find one) if we can use it in my book! More information here: http://www.ecofont.eu/ecofont_en.html

Patti Digh, 37 Days, and Life Is A Verb
I have been a fan of Patti Digh since a friend of mine showed me her website during my second year of law school. About Life Is A Verb from Ms Digh’s website:
LIFE IS A VERB was recently chosen from over 450 nominees as one of five finalists in the “Inspirational Memoir” category of the Books for a Better Life Awards, along with Randy Pausch’s “The Last Lecture.” Patti and Emma will be on hand when the winner is announced at a ceremony in New York City on February 23, 2009!
Patti began blogging when her life situation caused her to ask the poignant question: What would you be doing today if you only had 37 days to live? See her online at www.37days.com. http://www.37days.typepad.com/
TinyURL (I Just Like Saying It, ha ha)
From the TinyURL website: With TinyURL, you can also make a smaller URL that will work for any page on your site. Let’s say that you have a website with the homepage that is at: http://www.my-internet-isp.com/~myusername Entering that URL into TinyURL will create a URL like http://tinyurl.com/3
